hello

That three-week vacation sure was wonderful, although it wasn't a true vacation because I had nightmares about what to do and terrible layouts for this site. Saved, though, by a breath of inspiration from LukeW Interface Designs. Then a maddening rush to make all the changes ensued. Any voids left behind will be filled soon.

So, what's gone on in the past few weeks? Four things of note:

  1. I can read Bengali at a two-year-old pace, but I can write it prettier than my dad (although not as fast).
  2. I've been running and exercising at least 3 times a week and don't have even a centimeter shaved off my waist to show for it. Diet is to blame, I suppose, but still…argh. Maybe I should just accept my few extra pounds part of the entire Kaiser package.
  3. The back of my head will soon bring about a mulletesque aura to everything else; this will be fixed before I go to Bangladesh. Mullets can be stylish, though, right?
  4. I've discovered a single follicle of white hair on my chest. Where there's one, many more are soon to follow.

Aside from the typical major headlines that scream a grossly unfair and unbalanced shaping of the world, that last point is a bit unsettling. I can deal with white hair: it's a natural progression from a thinning top-head. But chest hair? Assuming that I'll ever be fit enough to walk out in public without a shirt, I don't want to garner attention with a snowy chest.

The falling of the axe is when my earfuzz gets hip to my other hair trends.

And so it begins again.
